More surprising, it should not mean that it is a great Japanese food, come here to be had. And while the budget possibilities are endless when you really want a good meal, plan to spend a little money. Poor Tianzifang true, but the funny little house Akurah pasta is one of the few places in the gentrified Longtang worth visiting. He specializes in udon, made a thick noodle made of wheat flour, with a variety of styles: soup, steamed and then there’s our favorite, the Udon Zaru, the chilled and served on a bamboo basket with a light soy sauce – simple, elegant and tasty.

Spend enough time in Shanghai, and you are obliged to consume an all-you-can-eat teppanyaki. Most of them range from mediocre to downright terrible. Gintei is but one of the best in town. RMB 180 allows you unlimited servings of Katsu, Sushi, Sashimi and jumped, all washed down with beer and sake you can drink. It is perhaps not the most memorable dining experience of the city (in fact, after six bombs worry, you can forget some of them), but it is a bargain.

Slick, sexy and very popular, could Haiku by Hatsune Californicating of their menu with sushi creations as the “Moto-roll-ah ‘or be indicted ’1 -1 and 9 roll vapid, but the quality is there, especially if compared to the countless all-you-can-eat sushi in town potties. Legendary high end Japanese Nadaman chain has its roots in the Shangri La Shanghai Pudong Hotel. The specialty here is kaiseki, the Japanese equivalent of a multi-course menus fixed prices. Some find a style decidedly corny classic Nadaman something, but we say that a part of the conversation. floppingly Expect fish fresh, flawless presentation and atmosphere that borders on Satori.

Aqua Sun is everything you expect in a restaurant covenant: chic, glamorous and a little shrill. The ingredients are extremely fresh and professionally prepared, the menu is encyclopedic interests and the service is on site. Just be sure to come with a full wallet. It is ultimately the federal government. Do not let the setting fool food court, sushi is one of the real deal. Behind the counter, three points to shop carefully all the mash, cut into slices turn and roll. Every request is met with a warm “Hai!” A smile and a bow.

The menu offers an extensive list of fresh sashimi and nigiri, maki and refreshing, no gimmick. That’s it plain and simple. In addition, this place is really cheap. Unless you are on the bull or because they can show off fine expect two people to have a meal for two people for about 350 RMB – remember, we’re talking sushi. The sushi bar sushi microscopic Oyama is like nothing else in the city. As she breathed the gracious hostess for kimono mismatched cups half-tone, with a simple elegance and exquisite.

More importantly, the food is outstanding. Chef / owner Takeo Oyama imported his own fish from Tokyo and Nagasaki, the owner Ginger pickles (most places to buy it marinated before), he even touched his own tamari. And we believe it shows in the quality of food. It also shows in the price – somewhere between RMB 600-800 depending on what is being proposed. But it’s worth it.

The first thing I have to tell you about Hangzhou that if you travel to China, you will have to go. No if, buts and maybe, go! Hangzhou, Suzhou, described as a paradise on earth. A description for the well-deserved one of the sexiest and most beautiful I saw in China. Believe me, you love Hangzhou.

Hangzhou is one of those places that you keep hearing people see on postcards, television, and almost anywhere because it is so photogenic and beautiful. I was taken to be people who were there and received looks of pity when they hear that I’ve never been there.

Last Hangzhou

The trip went from Shanghai and the best way to get to Shanghai to Hangzhou by train. The trains will run in Shanghai to Hangzhou from Shanghai Railway Station Hangqiao. I had never been to the station Hangqiao, so I was very surprised when I got there to catch the train after 10 hours. The station looks so much like an airport, you can easily think that you took the wrong turn and landed at the airport in Shanghai by mistake. The resort was very clean, excellent safety profile and had a modern minimalist design, so popular at the airports.

Later, the Hongqiao station only for CRH trains, trains, modern take on the fastball is short trips to China learned.

It is a digital display of the speed of the train sitting on every door kilometers per hour (sorry Americans) and the speed at 343 kilometers per hour or more was mesmerizing.

Difficult to find hotel

Be an expert on travel to China (I hope), I had a bed in advance at the Inn of the Touran and perfect instructions on how to get there without notice. The plan was to take the train from Hangzhou Zoo Y2, get off, walk 100 yards down the road and the hostel is on the left side and not be overlooked.

The first problem, there was no bus at the station Y2. Y2 eventually a bus to a nearby hospital, came to the zoo, went 100 yards down the street and saw on the left side. NO guest house. Finally, the hostel found several people asking for directions, and I swear I must have happened 3-4 times. The hostel was not difficult to find, I had just no idea.

The hostel staff was friendly and greeted me and led me to my room, a 12-bed dormitory with only one other guest, Di Tie. Tie Tues Harbin was in Hangzhou and opened a bar with the owner of the inn. A cool guy.

If you need a place to stay in Hangzhou looking for, I recommend the guest house Touran.

Day in Hangzhou

Goals for the day trip was to explore the West Lake and arrange a bike rental. Tues Tie recommended a trip to the pagoda to Leifeng was the third goal.

It was pouring rain on the first day turned out to be a blessing because I could see how the charming West Lake watching the rain. Walk from the hostel on the southern tip of West Lake has made every 15 minutes.

The nearest bike rental station where you could get a magnetic card for digital rental bikes were very close to half of the northeast side of West Lake, just before the door Yonglin. There are many bike-rental stations throughout Hangzhou, but few who give the cards.

Stroll along the lake and visit of the pagoda gate Yonglin Leifeng was very pleasant along the way and an excellent introduction to the West Lake and Hangzhou. Walk along the lake is not to overlook the Leifeng Pagoda.

Leifeng Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda was originally built more than 1000 years ago and converted only 9 years old. The pagoda was easy to visit, beautiful views of the lake, full of tourists and very pleasant.

After reaching the bicycle rental station, I handed 300rmb employees there that were very professional, explained everything, and even picked up a bike with an elevated seat for more comfort for foreign.

Not much else going on trips, for the rest of the day. Rode back to the hostel on my new wheels and I found at a local restaurant for dinner. Back at the hostel after dinner, had a conversation with a tie and Di caught on some work.

More rain in Hangzhou

The rain was still falling this morning, but not a problem because the bikes were guards mud and rain was more refreshing than wet. The first stop of the day was the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, by a walk around the lake, which included a visit to the lonely hills and the Temple of General Yue Fei, followed

The pagoda was only 5 km from the fashion board, a pleasant 20 minute walk or a bike as well. Grabbed a bike to a bike station nearby and cycled on the road in front of the pagoda.

You can easily terminate a visit to the pagoda in less than 30 minutes. Go directly to the pagoda, up, down, take a walk around the base of the pagoda and ready. Most tour groups will visit the temple this way. To really get the most out of the pagoda is a top travel spot, you can enjoy for at least 2-3 hours walking the grounds, you will find a miniature replica of the Pagoda in the trees at the rear of the main pagoda and if you’re lucky, meet the cats keep the garden Goldfish.

After the pagoda was a taxi back to the lake to the bike rental station the day before. I returned the bike to the station and walk over, because riding is good around the lake, but right on the lake, you have to see to walk, because many parts of the lake are not accessible by bicycle.

To be honest, the hill was a lonely spot runs great and has some beautiful scenes look at the lake, but is not in itself a very impressive website. The best way to enjoy the mountain alone, it is simply part of the walk around the lake.

The entrance to the grave of Yue Fei is directly across the street from the beginning of the abolition of the Su easily include in your walk around the lake. Even going slowly, relax and take my time, Yue Fei Temple lasted only 30 minutes to see. An excellent site and the story of Yue Fei is fascinating.

The Su Causeway extends from the northwestern shore of the lake at the bottom on the south side and can easily hour, you take your time and enjoy the ride.

The lake is large, has a large number of boats and even has its own dock dry.

Originally on “Impressions of West Lake” seeing planned. A show of the evening on the lake instead. Ticket prices at about 260rmb 1000rmb were a little stiff, so I gave it a miss. Completed the walk to the lake about 18:30 so decided to call it a night, rent a bike snapped and went to the hostel for dinner and a bottle of beer with Tie Tues

Last day in Hangzhou

With only the temple Lingyin left to see, it was time to prepare from Hangzhou. Plan today was to go to the station to buy a ticket on the night of Hangzhou, Suzhou to treat myself to a Brazilian lunch visit Lingyin Temple, my bag, you give the card to rent a bike and with the train to Suzhou.

Schedule for the day was carefully organized, it was horrendous make time for everything. According to the timetable I have for over an hour to enjoy the temple, which is time consuming. False. The temple is huge with lots of really interesting to see the building and is part of a much larger area with many picturesque places to look cool. Normally you would need a whole day to see both the temple and the stage.

What followed was a whirlwind tour of the temple and photographed the great sprint from one building to another. I saw all the buildings and was in and out of the temple so fast that I have a group of Japanese tourists have on the speed of pride.

The bike rental station closed 17 hours and counting down, I caught the first bus to the lake, got out a bicycle at the station nearest bicycle rental and crazy back peddle to the hotel. My suitcase, said goodbye to the staff of the hotel and allow more traffic wild bike rental station at hand in the card. Finally, with sweat and heart racing, I have a bicycle hire station, you pass the card in and got support from coming to save 20 minutes.

Hangzhou Travel Tips

-2 To 3 days is enough time to visit all the locations and the West Lake, but if you can stay for 1 or 2 days to make you happy. My only regret with Hangzhou, is that I did not stay longer

Take mosquito, if you plan on the lake at night. Mosquitoes are everywhere.

In a hotel in the hills west of West Lake Stay. This area of ??Hangzhou is much more pleasant, relaxing and in contact with the peaceful nature and natural Hangzhou. There are many to find hostels in the area, it is not difficult.

We had a pleasant weekend in Shanghai, starting with a good companion WT and his beautiful wife and very pregnant, and some sightseeing.

One thing that you know about Shanghai, it’s great and I mean BIG! A quick search online shows the population of Shanghai is more than € 23 million. That is more than the entire population of Australia in a city. The staggering of the population of Shanghai is clearly the astronomical property prices. You can sell your home in Beverly Hills with his multi-hectare pool, tennis court and helicopter landing pad and be able to afford a nice apartment in one of the most beautiful areas of Shanghai.

I am going to Shanghai several times and there was not much to do for me travel wise. Some people rave about travel to Shanghai, it has a lot to offer and I enjoy the travel scene this weekend.

Arrival in Shanghai on Friday evening

My slow train to Chang Chun (29 hours) from the Shanghai Railway Station at around 18.00 clock at the right time. In Beijing, Changchun and many other Chinese cities, you just tell your friends you meet at the front of the station at the main entrance or a subway entrance. Shanghai is Shanghai meeting is more complicated with at least 2-3 different main entrances and several subway entrances.

No problem. A few phone calls and mistakes later, all is combined, exchanged hugs and all is well.

Shanghai Food

What do you eat on a first night in Shanghai? Typical food in Shanghai! W and T took me to a restaurant at the top of the Shanghai Metro City in downtown Shanghai. Ignores entries in the menu, and when straight into the socket. The large ball of meat with a classic hot dish on-line description 3 Chinese seemed. I’m one of them.

We look forward to the festival, I was very surprised when my food arrived.

Exaggerate my “main course” was only three bites with the replacement part. Large parts of it do not make to Shanghai, where there is more emphasis on gourmet meals. The food was delicious and the bright side is that you can not leave the restaurant feeling of fullness and lethargic.

Saturday

W and T had left a two-hour course for parents-western city hospital Saturday morning, then it myself at the entrance to the front of the hospital with strict instructions not to lose. This part of Shanghai had parks, nice streets, a couple of old architecture, and I enjoyed a few hours walking in the area.

There was a lot of brokers in the field of advertising units for sale with more zeros in their price you see in the U.S. military budget. I played with a few numbers while surfing the window to see how many square feet I could afford. Just enough space for a bed.

Xinjiang food

T had to do is to take W and I stayed to catch up on things more guys in a restaurant in Xinjiang lunch. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Xinjiang people know how to eat their lamb dishes are excellent.

See Site Shanghai Bus

Shanghai has two sites of the city by bus, you will see the guide through the most popular tourist areas of the city. On-line in areas such as East Nanjing Road and the Bund, while line two more areas on the east side of the Huangpu River and passes through areas such as the Jin Mao Tower and Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

The buses are double rooms with the back of the open upper deck and the best seat in the bus to the sites of Discover decorated. The cost of the ticket is 30RMB which is very good and I recommend a trip with at least one of these buses to see everyone in Shanghai for the first time.

W and I jumped on the bus at the showroom of Urban Development, took our seats at the back of the second deck and I enjoyed our ride through the fields of travel, the most famous Shanghai.

Cheng Huang Temple dinner in the room

Do not be fooled by the name. This area in the center of old Shanghai is more fourth name for a temple, and contains more than 100 stores in buildings that are mostly over 100 years old. Most people who go there (myself included) never in the temple, which ideally is in a dark corner of the corner path.

The area contains many food courts and restaurants, two McDonald’s and two Starbucks. In a group of about eight people, we celebrated the birthday of T, ate lots of good food and at least two different restaurants and drank too much beer. A beautiful evening.

Sunday

A day of relaxation with a single activity-based travel. A walk through the old town in Qi Bao (September Treasures) region. The old town dates from the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and some of the old town has been restored for tourism. Walking along the main street with shops on both sides of the classic architecture and gives you an idea of ??what Shanghai must have been in the past. Less crowds of tourists and heaps of comfort for sale.

The dinner was simple and had to catch a train to Hangzhou the next morning so the night ended early.
